2. East Fork up to marker at lower end <strong>of</strong><br />

Brewster Gorge<br />

• Open for steelhead Jan. 1-March 31 <strong>and</strong> May 25-Dec. 31.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon upstream to Nook Creek Jan. 1-March 31 <strong>and</strong> May 25-Dec. 31.<br />

• Non-adipose fin-clipped steelhead may be taken; 1 per day, 5 per year as part <strong>of</strong> daily<br />

or annual salmon/steelhead catch limit.<br />

• Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead all year.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon all year.<br />

• Isthmus Slough open year-round for Chinook salmon, adipose fin-clipped coho salmon<br />

<strong>and</strong> adipose fin-marked steelhead up to a point on the slough adjacent to Milepost 3 on<br />

Hwy 42. Open to youth anglers (age 17 <strong>and</strong> under) <strong>and</strong> Disabled Anglers with a <strong>Oregon</strong><br />

Disabilities Hunting <strong>and</strong> <strong>Fish</strong>ing Permit (see pages 6-7), from Milepost 3 on Hwy 42 to<br />

the tidegate.<br />

Gear Restrictions: Isthmus Slough<br />

• Anti-snagging regulations in place upstream/up-slough from Milepost 3 on Hwy 42. See<br />

page 11 for anti-snagging gear restrictions.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead all year.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong><br />

May 25-Dec. 31, except closed for salmon upstream from Seven-Mile Bridge.<br />

• No limits on smallmouth or largemouth bass in the Coquille River Basin.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead all year.<br />

• Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Dec. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Closed 200 feet upstream from <strong>and</strong> 200 feet downstream from falls above Milepost 21<br />

(above Dora).<br />

3. Middle Fork<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong><br />

Oct. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Closed upstream from Myrtle Creek Sept. 16-Nov. 30.<br />

4. North Fork<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon from confluence with South Fork upstream to the confluence<br />

with the East Fork Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Oct. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Oct. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Closed 200 feet upstream from <strong>and</strong> 200 feet downstream <strong>of</strong> LaVerne Falls.<br />

5. South Fork<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon from confluence with North Fork upstream to the confluence<br />

with the Middle Fork Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Oct. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead from confluence with North Fork upstream to the<br />

USFS Boundary near Powers Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Oct. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Closed to all angling year-round from U.S. Forest Service boundary near Powers<br />

(Milepost 4 Powers-Agness Road) upstream to Coquille River Falls (approx. 12 miles)<br />

including tributaries.<br />

• Closed for salmon upstream from the confluence <strong>of</strong> the South Fork <strong>and</strong> the Middle Fork<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Coquille River.<br />

Cow Creek (Umpqua Basin) • See Umpqua River Basin.<br />

Diamond Lake (Douglas Co.) • Open all year.<br />

• Trout catch limits: 8 trout per day, 8 inch minimum length, only 1 trout over 20 inches<br />

per day. 2 daily limits in possession.<br />

Eel Creek (below Eel Lake) (Coos Co.) • Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead from Jan. 1-April 30.<br />

Eel Lake (Coos/Douglas Co.) • Open for adipose fin-clipped steelhead all year.<br />

• Rainbow trout over 20 inches are considered steelhead Jan. 1-April 30 <strong>and</strong> Nov. 1-<br />

Dec. 31. May 1-Oct. 31 rainbow trout over 20 inches are considered trout <strong>and</strong> may be<br />

harvested 1 per day as per SW Zone Regulations.<br />

Elk River (Curry Co.)<br />

• Open for trout May 25-Oct. 31, 2 per day, 8 inch minimum; <strong>and</strong> open for adipose fin-<br />

Mainstem upstream to Bald Mountain clipped rainbow trout (half pounders), 2 per day, 8 inch minimum length, Jan. 1-March 31<br />

Creek, including tidewater<br />

<strong>and</strong> Nov. 1-Dec. 31.<br />

• Open for Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> steelhead Jan. 1-March 31 <strong>and</strong> May 25-Dec. 31.<br />

• No more than 1 adult non-adipose fin-clipped Chinook salmon per day, 10 per year, in aggregate<br />

when combined with waters <strong>of</strong> the Sixes River <strong>and</strong> Elk River Ocean Terminal Area.<br />

• Non-adipose fin-clipped steelhead may be taken; 1 per day, 5 per year as part <strong>of</strong> daily or<br />

annual salmon/steelhead catch limit.<br />
