I quote Dr Iqbal verse in Urdu that he wrote before India's independence.
If he were alive today he must have put in another verse,
"what entire colonial world failed to do during their rule of hundreds of years
our politician have accomplished that agenda of India's enemies only in half a
century igniting hatred and conflict by exploiting religions, castes and regions"
to weaken national integration.
No doubt India is passing through a transition period and every period
must have to cross through the tempests and tides. Russia and China had
witnessed strong commissions than we have been experiencing since 1947.
India's civilisation had been unique and wonderful whose roots lie below
the depths of the seas and above the heights of the skies. Prophet Mohammad
himself has said that "He felt cool breeze of the East" East was Mashraq, India.
All the Prophets were born in Asia. India is proud to be centre of the
Asian civilization. The essence of India's civilisation and greatness was its
spirit of tolerance, human love and compassion which flows from India's
philosophy that the whole universe is one family. This is the basic principle
of National Integration and oneness of our society.
I am, perhaps, the only Indian or Asian who has travelled around the world
for five years on motor cycle through 120 of the world from 1967 to 1973 on
peace mission carrying India's message of peace, brotherhood and tolerance. I
love to see that image of Bharat which I saw in the eyes and hearts of millions of
people in the world. Terrorism is enemy of mankind and India's philosophy of
love, spiritual power and tolerance can only destory seeds of terrorism. We
need will and commitment. Legislations are not the solution.
Mahatma Budh and Mahavir demonstrated to the world the meaning of
tyag, sacrifice by renouncing absolute power and walking unto the suffering
people to understand their woes and pains. Can our Chief ministers and Ministers
afford to make that sacrifice to identify themselves with the people ? I assure
