North. You can see everywhere in the smallest towns [?] the ruins of great castles. <strong>The</strong>
women’s dress resembles that of the men, and at a distance you can’t tell them apart.
Next Monday we are going to Llandudodd Wells in the county of Brecknock. 83
Maman tells me that my sisters are well occupied. I hope that she, as well as you, do not
find that I have fallen behind. I very much do not want to meet that reproach.
