explanation of the origin of the Fermi scale per se, as well as,
the origin of mass of the intermediate vector boson
responsible, for example, for the slow burning of our Sun.
These are models in which the Higgs sector of the SM is
composite, i.e. made by some more fundamental matter.
Another interesting possibility is that the SM admits a
supersymmetric extension. This is a new symmetry which
