Giving to UC Santa Cruz
This annual report features some of the ways UCSC supporters
have chosen to give to the campus in support of their favorite
programs. The UC Santa Cruz Foundation welcomes outright
gifts of cash, securities, and property. Gifts may also be pledged,
with payment extended over time.
We also offer a variety of deferred giving options, including charitable
remainder trusts, life insurance gifts, and bequests. The UC Santa
Cruz Foundation has tax-exempt status granted under Section 501(c)(3)
of the federal Internal Revenue Code, and all contributions to the
Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Donors to UCSC are invited to direct their gifts to one or more programs
of special interest to them, such as a college, academic department,
scholarship fund, or specific area of research. Many donors also choose
to make unrestricted gifts, enabling the campus to direct resources where
they are needed most. Other opportunities to contribute to UCSC include:
R Annual giving, providing current operating support for a wide range
of campus programs;
R Endowment gifts, providing support in perpetuity. These include
program endowments, endowed chairs, scholarship endowments,
and library subject endowments;
