Henley Royal Regatta 2013
A defining symbol of English life, Henley Royal Regatta is a must in the summer social calendar.
The first Henley Royal Regatta took place in 1839 and today’s Regatta is a truly unique sporting
event with almost 300 races spread across five days.
Situated just a short walk from the finish line and Stewards’ Enclosure, Leander Club offers you and your
guests the opportunity to enjoy the grandeur of this event in style from the world’s most historic and
successful rowing club.
Over the years, Leander athletes have won 112 Olympic medals, with 13 of those in London in 2012, and the Club
now has its eyes set on Rio 2016.
As well as our exclusive hospitality packages, you can enhance your day by offering your guests an introduction to
the Regatta by one of our athletes or coaches. You may also like to consider a relaxing trip down the
Regatta course on one of our exclusive boats, to experience the thrill of the racing crews at close quarters.
Each day of the Regatta has its own character:
Wednesday: Everything is fresh and exciting on the first day of
Regatta, as befits the world's most famous
rowing event. Wednesday is one of the busiest days
on the water, with at least two races on the course
at any time.
Thursday: Now rivalling Friday in terms of popularity. The club,
student and school crews who survived the first day's
racing face their second round encounter and yet
another frenetic day on the water.
Friday: Now the busiest day of Regatta, often drawing
the largest crowds of the week, all eager to enjoy
the social activity and witness the international
crews who usually make their debut today.
Saturday: Semi-finals day always produces excellent racing
and, coupled with the first day of the weekend,
generates large crowds on the river bank.
Sunday: Finals day at Regatta has a character all of its own,
combining the tension of the finals with a more
relaxed feel on the bank - a fitting climax to five
days at Henley.

Eton Dining Room Package - Watch Leander crews prepare
to race and return, hopefully, triumphant!
Situated on the top floor of the Clubhouse with panoramic views of the river and
landing stage the Eton Dining Room is private dining at its best. This exclusive room
evokes the sense of grandeur, nostalgia and history of the Club. It is air-conditioned
for your guests’ comfort. Suitable for groups of up to 30 (tables of 10).

Situated on the first floor of the Clubhouse this air-conditioned room offers
wonderful views of the river and landing stage. Discreet, and at the heart of this
historic Club, the Members’ Dining Room is suitable for groups of up to 40
(tables of 10) sharing the most exclusive member enclosure.

Members Marquee’ Package - At the heart of the action!
Set within the grounds of the Clubhouse, 'the marquee' is close to the unique
atmosphere of the crew boating area. Situated in the air conditioned pavilion,
it offers a peaceful sanctuary for your day at the Regatta and is ideal for sitting
alongside our club members (parties of up to 150, tables of 10).
