out, the item code had changed.
I will forever be grateful to this
Lackland Commissary, Texas,
has the most beautiful personality
toward all commissary customers.
On numerous occasions, I have
asked her for assistance and no
matter what she is doing, she
always stops and helps me. She
keeps a pretty smile on her face
and speaks to customers all the
time. She should get personal
recognition for being so helpful.
We want to thank Reba
Perlotte, customer service
manager at Lackland
Commissary, Texas, for her
caring and comforting of my
wife. My wife had recently lost
her mother and uncle, and she
became very distressed after
losing her wallet. Everything
seemed to come to a head, and
she broke down, becoming very
emotional. Reba comforted her
in a very caring way. She should
be commended for her caring and
understanding.
While shopping at Lackland Commissary, Texas,
my wife took our 2 ½-year-old grandson to the
ladies restroom to change his diaper, where she
took off her $4,000 diamond ring and laid it on the
counter. When she finished, she was distracted by
our grandson and forgot to pick up her ring. We were
halfway home when she realized she had forgotten it.
Reba Perlotte
I immediately called the commissary and spoke
with Reba Perlotte, asking her if by chance
anyone had turned in a diamond ring. I was
surprised to hear her say, “Yes.” We returned
to the store and retrieved the ring from Ms.
Perlotte. Though the person who found and
turned in the ring was unknown, I believe you
are fortunate in having an honest employee
such as Ms. Perlotte, because the ring could
have easily fallen into the wrong hands and
we would have never gotten it back. We shop
at the commissary at least once a week, and
Ms. Perlotte’s smiling face and great personality is
definitely an asset to DeCA. She always has a good
word to say and is constantly walking through the
store and helping customers. She definitely deserves
to be recognized for her efforts!
My wife and I shop regularly at
the Lackland Commissary,
Texas, about three to five times
a week. We salute Mike Mena,
store director, for his help and
friendly demeanor. We feel the
commissary has improved greatly
since his arrival. We have lived
near the base for 30 years and feel
Mr. Mena makes senior citizens
Mike Mena feel at home and is always ready to
asking if he can be of service.
Palms favorite cashier
I’d like to say how much
I appreciate the staff of
the Twentynine Palms
Commissary, Calif., including
the contract bakery staff, but
I’m especially fond of cashier
Lorraine Candelaria. I and my
husband, who is now deployed,
have been shopping here for
Lorraine Canelaria more than a year, and Lorraine
remains our favorite checker.
She’s always smiling and social, and she makes us
feel welcome. She has become much more than just
an “employee”; she has become a very close, dear
friend. When our second daughter was born, I was
dealing with postpartum depression, our older child
had broken her leg, and my husband was preparing
to deploy. I was an emotional wreck, but when I went
to the commissary, there was Lorraine, all smiles
and so supportive. She was there 100 percent for me
and now has helped me through this deployment,
too. I can never thank her enough for showing she
truly cared. I have never had a bad experience in this
