The world's best customers salute the world's best employees
Fort Gordon’s
great cashiers
Reva Csontos, cashier at Fort
Gordon Commissary, Ga.,
is an asset to DeCA. She was
very patient with me when I was
unloading my cart, since I have
two baby girls. She had a good
sense of humor. Thank you, Reva
– I wish all cashiers were as nice
as you.
Victoria Yu
Son Srithai is a wonderful
cashier at Fort Gordon
Commissary, Ga. She is always
cheerful and helpful. I think
she should be Employee of the
Month or whatever you do for
great employees. We shop at the
commissary once a week, and we
have heard other people comment
about how they like to go to Son’s
register.
Gulfport experts
The produce department staff at
Gulfport Commissary, Miss.,
are the best people with lots of
knowledge of produce and also
plants. They tell me how to cook
some of the new produce items
they carry. Diane Boss, Bert
Kelley and Larry Wheaton
– they are the best!
Store Director Walter Taylor,
grocery manager Patricia
Tice, produce worker Larry
Wheaton, and cashier Linda
Hutchison at Gulfport
Commissary, Miss., constantly
“bend over backwards” to please
the customer. All the staff
members are friendly, extremely
knowledgeable, articulate and eager to answer
questions and locate products. This commissary
is a showcase! It has immaculate floors; wellstocked,
fresh produce; cans neatly stacked;
meat counters spotless; quality frozen foods; and
dairy items constantly rotated with clear price
labels portraying a store taking extreme care in
a personalized setting, guaranteeing the utmost
quality for the fairest price. Even as a smaller
store, this provider of our daily sustenance
is a precious asset that both active-duty and
retired military folks appreciate. The cashiers
are meticulous, considerate and very patient; the
deli with Denise Joyce is a welcome asset and a
timesaver as well. Thank you all for your wonderful
efforts and friendship.
Dahlgren compliments
I shopped at the Dahlgren
Commissary, Va., today after
not being there in months,
and I realized what a pleasant
experience it always is, thanks to
the helpful and cheerful people
who work there. I told meat
department manager Walt Ford
that his meats are the best around,
Walt Ford
which I think embarrassed him,
but it’s true. My compliments to
them all, from the managers who greet you to the
baggers who send you on your way.
Fort Myer helpers
Though our daughter recently retired to take care of
my wife and me, she fractured an ankle, which placed
us in a caretaker role ourselves for four months. I
hobbled as best as I could to make trips to the Fort
Myer Commissary, Va. Barbara Madigan,
store secretary, helped me secure items I needed in
cases. Many other employees also helped me with my
shopping problems. Our commissary is staffed with
hardworking, helpful employees. Don’t change a thing
at our commissary.
Port Hueneme personal touch
I want to let someone know how great I think Store
Director June Bazile is at the Port Hueneme
