c. Teaching materials
In this section, usual teaching materials such as 'chalk, duster, blackboard, textbook'
are written. Instead use 'usual classroom materials'. The lesson will be more
interesting and successful if it is followed by some other teaching aids, e.g. flannel
board, flash cards, realia, cut-outs, etc. This part of the lesson plan serves as a check
list of the resources needed for the lesson.
d. Teaching learning activities:
In this part, a detail description of activities performed by both teacher and students
are written. While writing teaching learning activities, we have to consider the
objectives of lesson plan and the level of students as well as the available materials.
The activities should be set to encourage students' participation during the lesson. It
means child centered activities must be emphasized.
e. Evaluation
The teacher should evaluate students' achievement in the last 5/6 minutes of each
period. Generally, questions are asked to evaluate students. However, the teacher
can use very short activities and get the students to respond verbally or physically to
linguistic stimuli.
f. Homework
At last, the teacher ends the class by assigning homework to the pupils if required.
Some teachers think it should not be necessarily given every day, and teachers
should follow the practice of their school. Homework should be creative, funny and
task-based.
g. Reflection:
This part is written after the completion of the lesson. The teacher reflects the lesson
by analysing his/her and students' performance, evaluation and behaviours. From
this, the teacher finds how far s/he was able to meet the objective as mentioned in
the lesson plan and generates self feedback for further improvement.
