● Rheumatoid Arthritis: Appropriate Use of Biologic
Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drugs (DMARDs)
● Participation by Physician or Other Clinician in a
Systematic Clinical Database Registry that includes
Consensus Endorsed Quality Measures.
That is, by October 15, 2008, (1) the final, detailed
specifications for use of the measure in data collection
for PQRI have not been completed and/or are not ready for
implementation, or (2) all of the CPT II codes required for
the measure to be reported by claims have not been
established and/or will not be effective for CMS claims
based submission on or before January 1, 2009.
In addition, we did not include in the final set of
PQRI measures listed in Table 18 the following proposed
measures that subsequently were adopted by the AQA, because
their adaptation to the PQRI format was subsequently found
to be not feasible:
● Palliative Care: Dyspnea Screening and Management.
Finally, we did not include in the final PQRI measures
listed in Table 18 the following proposed measure:
● Endarterectomy: Peri-operative Anti-platelet
Therapy for Patients Undergoing Carotid Endarterectomy
(CEA)
