organization to submit all outstanding claims not<br />

previously <strong>submitted</strong> within 60 calendar days of the<br />

effective date of the revocation, (except for revocations<br />

identified in §405.874(b)(2) and §424.535(f) (redesignated<br />

as §424.535(g)) of this final rule).<br />

Comment: One commenter stated that 30 days is simply<br />

not enough time to wrap up all of the details of a<br />

practice, in addition to the other circumstances associated<br />

with a revocation of billing privileges.<br />

Response: We are finalizing the provisions found at<br />

§424.535(h) (proposed as §424.535(g)) that require a<br />

revoked physician, NPP or a physician or NPP organization<br />

to submit all outstanding claims not previously <strong>submitted</strong><br />

within 60 calendar days of the effective date of the<br />

revocation,(except for revocations identified in<br />

§405.874(b)(2) and §424.535(f) (redesignated as<br />

§424.535(g))of this final rule).<br />

After reviewing public comments, we are finalizing the<br />

provisions found at §424.535(h) (proposed as §424.535(g))<br />

that require a revoked physician, NPP or a physician or NPP<br />

organization to submit all outstanding claims not<br />

previously <strong>submitted</strong> within 60 calendar days of the<br />

effective date of the revocation. Since the physician, NPP<br />
