the form of single cells accompanying fibrosis, to a few fat<br />

layers separating the implant from surrounding tissues. It<br />

must be emphasized that the complete healing in process<br />

probably has no finished and insignificant inflammatory<br />

process still take place mainly between filaments of the<br />

tested meshes.<br />

In the employed semi-quantitative score evaluation comparing<br />

the tested mesh Dallop® M with mesh Duramesh TM<br />

only in the subcutaneous tissue in test period of 2 weeks<br />

the result obtained showed slight irritating effect. In further<br />

evaluations of subcutaneous tissue reaction namely after<br />

4,12,26 and 52 weeks the result was obtained proving lack<br />

of irritating effect. Due to the fact that this result only concerns<br />

the subcutaneous tissue, where the samples were<br />

implanted and despite using suture for fixation the samples<br />

displaced, and the period of only 2 weeks it is probable that<br />

irritation was the result of sample displacement. In all test<br />

terms in muscles the mesh Dallop® M compared to mesh<br />

Duramesh TM showed no irritating effect.<br />

Conclusion<br />
