Introduction
Last decades the method of dental implantation became
frequently used among other types of particularized assistance
rendered by maxillo-facial surgeons and stomatologist-orthopedist.
In spite of huge number of implants and
methods of operations, destruction appearance of the bone
tissue where implant is inserted – pereimplantit (bone lesion)
remains one of severe complication. Its development
should be provoked by unequal allocation of working load
into the tissue surrounding the tissue, from once side and
by loosening of artificial support. This complication should
be provoked by infection of surrounding tissues, from other
side, it means by pyoinflammatory process development.
Our days, acupuncture is widely used in every day rehabilitation
procedures for patients with maxillofacial and stomatological
diseases. But there is no information in special
literature about acupuncture influence on the postoperative
inflammatory reaction during dental implantation operations,
long-term results are not also studied. So, all this determines
urgency of the examination performed.
aim
of work is to study acupuncture influence on the clinical
indices of inflammation and biophysical indices of oral fluid
microcrystallization for patients after dental implantation.
objects and methods
We examined 30 patients at the age of 25 - 55 years
old underwent dental implantation treatment on the lower
and upper jaws (one or two implant) in limits of one segment.
Implantation course of delayed implantation in two
stages was made for all patients with “Verline” (Belarus).
Anesthesia course performed with conducting and infiltration
procedures using ultracaini-D-C solution. Group I consisted
of 15 persons had standard treatment postoperatively composed
of antimicrobial and antiphlogistic medicines as well
as medicines for osteointegration. Group II had the same
treatment course combined with acupuncture. They applied
acupuncture before operation of dental implantation and during
it as anesthesia course. Irritation was made with brake
(antianxiety) method on the distal acupoints of the common
action of strong vegetative direction and on the local acupoints
located on the Yan channels of the body going into the
maxillofacial area. Its external and internal pathway passed
via the segment of interest of jaw or skin projection. Then,
we performed 10 sessions every day or in a day. In order to
objectivise and fix treatment results according to the terms
of the morphological regeneration of the bone tissue of the
lower jar (before operation, 3 days after implantation, 7, 14,
21 days, 1 and 2, 6 months after operation, 6 months after
prosthesis) we studied the following indices:
• Shiller-Pissarev test and iodine number by Svrakov;
• peripheric circulation indices (PCI) [1];
• sensitivity index of periodont (SIP) [1];
• three points test for determining of the face configura
tion alteration level due to the edema of soft tissue
surrounding the jaw postoperatively [3];
• X-ray pictures were studied 2 months later.
Oral fluid microcrystallization level development was
studied with method modified by P.A.Leus (1977) [2].
Change of oral fluid microcrystallization indices for patients
was examined twice: during the first day after dental
implantation operation and 10 days after operation when
postoperative treatment was finished.
Results
Data received after having examined test results by
Shiller-Pissarev and iodine number by Svrakov, PCI and SIP
indexes confirmed that periodont tissue state was characterized
as physiological norm before dental implantation for
32% of patients of the I group and for 28% of patients of the
II group in the limits of segment we were going to examine.
Good compensatory state of the periodont tissue was fixed
in 68% and 72% of cases accordingly. Inflammatory reaction
was evident in both groups in respect of indices of before
operation examination (p
