When I started meeting the Leo, the international
Luxembourg weekend was just coming up
and there was a lot of excitement about this in
the luxembourgish orga team. Then the weekend
came and I had my first international event.
The cool thing was that everyone almost knew
each other, so I started getting knowing everyone
and that was quite easy and pretty cool.
Some months later, I had my first Pre-LEF in
Belgium and I already knew a lot of people
which gave me a wonderful family feeling. Now
I just had my first LEF some weeks ago, we had
a lot of fun, a lot of activities, a lot of chat and
not so much of sleep and that was amazing!

‚It‘s great to have Leo friends in different countries.
And it‘s even better that we can help
spreading Leo movement to new countries – at
Lions Europa Forum in Cannes I accidentaly
met a Lion from Serbia. They wanted to start a
Leo club, but didn‘t know exactly how to do it.
He asked us to help them – with our experiences
and their fresh energy, one year later one
more country joined Leo movement. And our
story did not end there – we still visit each
other each year, because we‘re Leo – we‘re
friends.

You can develop a very strong relationship with
someone you met for the first time only if you
are Leo. It is because we think the same! We
don’t speak the same language, we didn’t go to
school together or college, some of us live on
other continents but still we are all friends and
willing to help our societies and each other.
That is the wealth of our organization.
