There was a perfect man who met
a perfect woman. After a perfect
courtship, they had a perfect wedding.
Their life together was, of
course, just perfect. One snowy,
stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect
couple was driving along a
winding road when they noticed
someone at the roadside in distress.
Being the perfect couple,
they stopped to help. There stood
Santa Claus with a huge bundle of
toys. Not wanting to disappoint
any children at Christmas, the
perfect couple loaded Santa and
his toys into their car. Soon they
were driving along delivering the
toys. Unfortunately, the driving
conditions deteriorated and the
perfect couple and Santa Claus
had an accident. Question: Only
one of them survived the accident.
Who was the survivor?
Answer No.1: A Woman’s
Response: The perfect woman!
She’s the only one that really existed
in the first place. Everyone
knows there is no Santa Claus and
there is no such thing as a perfect
man. Answer No. 2: A Man’s
Response: So, if there is no perfect
man and no Santa Claus, the perfect
woman must have been driving.
This explains why there was a
car accident in the first place.
Although, women might actually
appreciate the easy life of the
Santa Claus job. There are no
decisions about what to wear to a
party, to go to work or to do the
shopping. One black belt is the
only accessory needed for life.
Everyone would always be
extremely nice to you – even if you
were having a tough day and were
a bit crabby. If anyone said your
belly was too big and shook up
and down when you laughed, you
could laugh along with them. No
need for high heels since you
would be totally comfortable in
flat, patent leather boots; and a
fashion diva, too! There would be
no need to play politics of any
kind. A well placed and hearty,
“Ho-Ho-Ho,” would remind everyone
who is the boss. No prob-

lem on deciding what colors suit
you, since your cupboard is filled
with red, white and black. No one
would ask you for a ride to work,
to school, or to town in a cold
open sleigh pulled by reindeer flying
through the sky. You’d never
have to fix another meal or go to
a restaurant. Of course, you’d have
to get over the boredom of the
same cookies and milk snack
inside practically every home you
visit. Age discrimination would
never be a problem and you’d
never be asked to take an early
retirement package. And no one
would ever ask you for your c.v. or
job description.
The English Speaking Group of
the Lake Region’s perfect men and
women will drink a cup of good
cheer and enjoy a spirited holiday

people who want to practice their

Der «LeLac» unter
der Lupe

gedacht: Bei einer Auflage von
32'000 Ex. wurden von Dezember
2009 bis November 2010 (11
Monate) genau 352'000 LeLac auf
insgesamt 9'216’000 Seiten
gedruckt (aufeinander geschichtet
ein Turm von über 1,5 km Höhe)
und 11mal gratis in über 100'000
Haushalte unserer Region verteilt.
Dies dank insgesamt 575 Inseraten
und 423 Artikeln im vergangenen
LeLac-Jahr. Dabei hatten LeLac-
Leserinnen und -Leser die Wahl
zwischen 224 deutschsprachigen,
188 französischsprachigen und 11
englischsprachigen Artikeln.
Davon waren 26% der Kultur,
13,5% der Wirtschaft, 7,5% der
Politik und 30% diversen Themen
gewidmet. Jedes Zeitungs-Exem-

région, avec 575 annonces et 423
articles, offrant aux lectrices et lecteurs
le choix entre 188 articles en
français, 224 en allemand et 11 en
anglais. 26% des articles étaient
consacrés à la culture, 13,5% à
l’économie, 7,5% à la politique et
30% à des sujets divers. Chaque
numéro du LeLac a été lu en

mais l’équipe du LeLac veut faire
