I am a product of a multi-cultural world in which societies with different languages
and heritages live, yet are unable to co-exist peacefully. This strife for
co-existence is not just a collective conflict, but also for me and others like
me a personal and individual fight, wherein the inner self struggles to find an
acceptance of the differences within.
Art is my fundamental medium of communication with the external world. It is
a universal language that all sides within me can relate to. It is through images,
colours and shapes that I am able to understand the meaning of life.
Alone in my studio, I put the turmoil out of my mind and create my own world
hovering over countries and cultures. My art is a vivid path to imagination to
find again and again new aspects of existence.
Art releases my soul from its cage allowing it to wander around the delightful
worlds of painting.
It is freedom.
It is a way of life.
Art is a true reflection of ourselves.
Many of my issues concern family because I am living away from my home
village where all my relatives stayed. I miss them and I am longing to see
them, so it’s a way to display my emotions towards them.
The other thing is that I’m immortalizing those lost moments from the past,
mostly moments that I captured with my modest camera.
Another aspect that I am asking to bring into discussion is the bizarre way
we comprehend this tradition nowadays, even at small and far-away places
where love and care were the appreciated way of life.
