BioFach 2013 focuses on organic values
Values provide orientation, closeness and security. The key theme at the next
BioFach creates inspiration for market players at all stages of the value chain.
The organic sector is appreciated for its values more than any
other sector of the economy. It stands for honesty, fairness,
transparency and sustainability, and shows how social, ecological
and economic values can be reconciled with each other.
BioFach 2013 would like to highlight the sector as a global
family. It will deal with the importance of shared values, fair
action, fair and transparent value chains and variety through
regionality and globalization.
The key theme of the congress has three main facets:
cooperation, value chain and the conflict between regionality
and globalization. The shared values practised form the
basis for all these aspects. Claus Rättich, Member of the
Management Board of NürnbergMesse, describes the
perspective for the coming world-leading exhibition:

management. The main attention will be devoted to the
question of how the organic sector can improve cooperation
and solidarity to contribute more towards making the world
worth living in for everyone.“
The key theme of BioFach is designed by the International
Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) as
the international patron of BioFach, the German Federation
of the Organic Food Industry (BÖLW) as national supporting
organization, and NürnbergMesse together with exhibitors
and visitors at the world’s leading exhibition.
An inspiring exchange of views on the key theme and
discussion of the sector’s new familiar values are possible
and desired – whether at the exhibition itself or at the
parallel congress!
