Grußwort des ERS-Präsidenten
It is my great pleasure, on behalf of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), to join the Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Pneumologie Kongress ERS and the German Society for Pneumology have a
long history of collaboration and the German members of ERS are among the most active within
the Society
The ERS has strengthened its partnership with the major European respiratory societies through
the Forum of International Respiratory Society (FIRS) that will lead to future important initiatives
for advocacy for respiratory diseases at any level from EU to WHO and UN The collaboration
between the ERS and the sister societies, like the German Society, is of paramount importance to
promote and protect health, particularly for the most vulnerable segments of the population, and
to ensure that appropriate care and medical support is available to those who are ill regardless
of income and demographics
I really look forward to participating to the scientific program that will give the opportunity to
exchange ideas, present new projects and open the way for future collaborations
I wish to all the participants a pleasant and fruitful Congress!
