Abstract: "The interpretation of cluster analysis solutions in the case of objectattribute
data can be supported by methods of Formal Concept Analysis leading to a
conceptual understanding of the "meaning" of clusters, partitions and dendrograms.
The central idea is the embedding of a given cluster in a conceptual scale which
represents the user's granularity with respect to the values of attributes in the original
data. This method is demonstrated using data from ALLBUS 1996."

labor market. It attempts to document the existence of an empirical "law" of economics.
The law features two variables that most interest policymakers, namely, the level
of unemployment and the level of wages. These are linked, it is argued here, by a
curve or formula [...]. Because the wage curve is not part of conventional economics,
most of the chapters to come are designed as collections of new evidence for it. Data
on approximately three and a half million people, from twelve countries, are used in
the analysis. Secondary evidence, drawing upon others' recent work, is also discussed.

Abstract: "Die Gastarbeiter-Skala aus dem ALLBUS wurde reformuliert und in drei
unabhängigen Stichproben erhoben. Die Ergebnisse aus diesen drei Stichproben
werden mit dem ALLBUS 1990 verglichen, in dem die klassischen Gastarbeiter-
Items erhoben worden sind. Die Eindimensionalität sowie die Stabilität der Faktorenladungen
über die Stichproben sind durch einen multiplen Gruppenvergleich
(LISREL) nachgewiesen. Die externe Gültigkeit wird zum einen anhand einer Stichprobe
