Abstractband 15. Kongress des Bundesverbandes Legasthenie
One of the major difficulties in dissecting the genetic aetiology of learning disorders
is that the clinical definitions comprise a number of heterogeneous conditions
and phenocopies. Gottesman (Gottesman and Gould 2003) argues that “optimally
reduced measures of neuropsychiatric functioning (which he has termed endophenotypes)
should be more useful than behavioural ‘macros’ in studies pursuing the
biological and genetic components of psychiatric disorders.” The reason for this is
twofold. (1) there may be less error in measurement, and (2) the number of genes
required to produce variations in the endophenotypes traits are probably smaller.
However, not all endophenotypes are linked to genes. They also might be environmental,
epigenetic, or multi-factorial in origin. In order to investigate genetically
informative endophenotypes in German multicenter study those measures which
have been found to be heritable, cosegregate within families, and which are found
in non-affected family members at a higher rate than in the general population:
Phonological decoding, phoneme awareness, short term auditory memory and
spelling and, rapid naming and orthographic processing. In addition we investigated
mathematical abilities.
The significance of these related phenotypes for genetic studies in dyslexia will be
investigated and discussed.
Dyskalkulie bei Grundschulkindern – Ursachen, Diagnostik, Therapie
*Andrea Schulz
DUDEN PAETEC GmbH, Berlin, Deutschland
Dyskalkulie – eine Begriffsklärung aus fachdidaktischer Sicht.
Wie lernt ein Kind rechnen? Was lässt manche Kinder beim Rechnenlernen
