Ein Film über die Beziehungen
zwischen Menschen und Bäumen.
Ein Versuch, den menschlichen
Blick auf die Natur zu hinterfragen,
die Subjektivität eines Baumes zu
erkennen und sich seiner radikalen
Andersartigkeit zu nähern. Wir
untersuchen den Fall von fünfzehn
“Gewinner:innen” des nationalen
Baumwettbewerbs der Ukraine und
erforschen das Bild eines Baumes,
wie es sich in der Sprache der
Gesetzgebung, des Journalismus und
der Poesie widerspiegelt.
A film about the relationships
between humans and trees. An
attempt to question the human
gaze upon nature, recognize the
subjectivity of a tree and approach
its radical otherness. We look into
the case of fifteen “winners” of
the National Trees of Ukraine
competition and explore the image of
a tree as reflected in the language of
legislation, journalism and poetry.

apps. While the air is constantly

intercepted from the Russian army,

zweimonatige Auslandserfahrung
in einem Zustand zweier Realitäten.
Ihr dokumentarischer Essay
interagiert mit zwei Landschaften,
wobei sie Familienfotos aus ihrem
eigenen Archiv und Texte verwendet,
die in den ersten Wochen des
Krieges geschrieben wurden. Eine
Landschaft wird von einer anderen
absorbiert, aber es bleibt vage, welche
Art von Landschaft dabei entsteht.
The director talks about her two
months of experience abroad
in a state of two realities. Her
documentary essay interacts with
two landscapes in the same space,
also using archival family photos
of the artist and texts written in the
first weeks of the war. One landscape
is absorbed into another, but it is
difficult to understand what kind of
landscape this act carries out.
