Ton Melnyk wurde 1988 in Kyjiw

Lebewesens und seiner Umgebung.
Ton Melnyk was born in Kyiv, in 1988.
Seamstress, artist, queer-feminist
grassroots activist. Their main
mediums: textiles, clothes, theatrical
and performative practices, street
art, video, participatory practices.
The main topics are fairly priced
labour, alternative economy, issues of
discrimination, illness and anti-burn-out
practices, relationships between human
and nonhuman creatures, climate
change and anti-war topics. Ton is
developing utopian projects about
the world they want to live in: without
violence, exploitation, built on horizontal
relationships, mutual aid and the value
of every life creature and surrounding.

Masha Ravlyk Lukianova ist Künstler:in,
queer-feministische Aktivist:in und
wurde 1987 in Volzhsky, Russland,
geboren. Si:er verwendet Medien wie
Textilien, Kleidung, Video, Fotografie,
Tanz, Performance und kollektive
Praktiken. Masha beschäftigt sich mit
Themen wie Widerstand gegen Kapitalismus
und Patriarchat, Arbeitsrechte,
Überwindung von Diskriminierung,
Migration, Armut, Selbstfürsorge und
queere Community-Subkultur.
Masha Ravlyk Lukianova is an artist,
queer feminist activist; born in Volzhsky,
Russia, in 1987. They use media like
textiles, clothes, video, photography,
dance, performance, collective
practices. The topics the artist works
with: resistance against capitalism and
patriarchy, labour rights, overcoming
discrimination, migration, poverty,
self-care, queer community subculture.
Masha und Ton sind beide Mitbegründer:innen
und Mitwirkende der
„Shvemy sewing cooperative“ (seit 2015,
ukrainisch-russische Kunstgruppe)
und „ReSew sewing cooperative“ (seit
2016, experimentelles Wirtschafts- und
Gemeinschaftsprojekt). Sie arbeiten seit
2016 als Künstler:innenduo und haben
gemeinsame Projekte und individuelle
künstlerische Arbeiten realisiert.
Masha and Ton are both co-founders
and participants of “Shvemy
Sewing Cooperative“ (since 2015,
Ukrainian-Russian art group) and
“ReSew sewing cooperative” (since
2016, experimental economical and
community project). They have worked
as an artist duo since 2016 and have
projects implemented together as well
as individual artistic pieces.

Dr. Olena Syaivo Dmytryk,
unabhängige:r Forscher:in, lebt derzeit
im Vereinigten Königreich. Syaivo
promovierte in Slawistik an der
Universität von Cambridge. Syaivos
Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Ukraine
und bewegt sich an der Schnittstelle
zwischen den Studien zu sozialen
Bewegungen, der Geschichte und den
Theorien zu Sexualität und Geschlecht
sowie den Studien zur visuellen Kultur.
Dr Olena Syaivo Dmytryk is an
independent researcher currently based
in the UK. They received their PhD in
Slavonic Studies from University of
Cambridge. Their work focuses on
Ukraine and is located at the crossing
of the social movements studies, the
histories and theories of sexuality and
gender, and the visual culture studies.
