Geboren in Tbilisi, machte er 2011
seinen BA in Regie am Tbilisi Mass
Media and Public Communications
International Institute. Im Jahr 2016
führte er im Auftrag des nationalen
georgischen Rundfunks beim Dokumentarkurzfilm
I WENT, I SAW, I FIXED IT
Regie. Sein fiktionaler Kurzfilm SORRY
FOR BEING LATE wurde unter anderem
für das FilmFestival Cottbus 2021
ausgewählt. Mit seinem ersten langen
Dokumentarfilm SMILING GEORGIA
nahm er am East-West Talent Lab teil
und erhielt ein Produktionsstipendium
des Georgian National Film Center und
der Deutschen Film- und Medienstiftung
NRW. Derzeit arbeitet er an seinem
Spielfilmdebüt DISPOSABLE.
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Luka Beradze
received his BA in directing from
Tbilisi Mass Media and Public
Communications International Institute
in 2011. In 2016, he was commissioned
by the Georgian National Broadcaster
to direct a short documentary, entitled
I WENT, I SAW, I FIXED IT. His fiction
short film SORRY FOR BEING LATE was
selected for the 2021 editon of Film-
Festival Cottbus. With his first feature
documentary SMILING GEORGIA, he
participated in the East-West Talent Lab
and was awarded a production grant by
the Georgian National Film Center and
the German Film- und Medienstiftung
NRW. He is currently developing his
fiction-feature debut DISPOSABLE.
