Maciek Hamela ist Film- und Radioproduzent,
Regisseur und Drehbuchautor.
Geboren in Warschau, Polen, erwarb er
einen Master-Abschluss der Universität
Sorbonne in französischer Literatur.
Er arbeitete auf dem Bau und als
Reiseleiter, während er an der École
Internationale de Création Audiovisuelle
et de Réalisation (EICAR) Filmregie
studierte. Er ist langjähriger Mitarbeiter
des BBC Channels. Er ist Ko-Regisseur
und Produzent des Dokumentar-Kurzfilms
BLESS YOU, für den er im Rahmen
des Programms Cannes Docs 2021
einen Doc Alliance Award erhielt. Er
produzierte weitere preisgekrönte Filme
wie CONVICTIONS (2016). Zuletzt führte
er beim Dokumentarfilm IN THE REAR-
VIEW (2023) Regie, der bei goEast im
Rahmen des Human Righs Sunday läuft.
Er ist auch Regisseur und Produzent
verschiedener Radioarbeiten und Plan B,
einer Dokumentarfilm-Podcast-Serie.
Maciek Hamela is a film and radio
producer, director and scriptwriter.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, he received
a master's degree from Sorbonne
University (Paris IV) in French literature.
Hamela worked in renovations and
as a tour guide, while studying film
directing at École Internationale de
Création Audiovisuelle et de Réalisation
(EICAR). He is a long-time BBC Channel
collaborator, as well as the co-creator
and producer of a documentary short
film BLESS YOU, for which he received
a Doc Alliance Award within the Cannes
Docs program in 2021. He has produced
other award-winning films, such as
CONVICTIONS (2016). The most recent
film he directed is the documentary
IN THE REARVIEW (2023), which will
be screened at goEast in the scope
of Human Rights Sunday. He is also
a director and producer of various
radio works, as well as of Plan B, a
documentary podcast series.
Jiří Konečný geboren 1973) ist ein
tschechischer Filmproduzent. Er ist
Gründer und Inhaber von Endorfilm, eine
Produktionsfirma, die hauptsächlich
Kinofilme produziert. Seine Filme
wurden für viele internationale Festivals
(u.a. Cannes, Venedig und Berlinale)
ausgewählt und ausgezeichnet u.a. mit
dem Goldenen Bären, dem Silbernen
Bären und dem Gläsernen Bären der
Berlinale sowie dem Orizzonti-Preis für
das beste Drehbuch in Venedig. Neun
seiner Filme waren nationale Kandidaten
für den Oscar. Er studierte an der
Wirtschaftsuniversität in Prag und an
der FAMU. Er ist Absolvent von EAVE
und „Producer on the Move“ in Cannes.
Jiří ist Mitglied der Europäischen
Filmakademie (EFA), der Tschechischen
Film- und Fernsehakademie (CFTA) und
der Slowakischen Film- und Fernsehakademie
(SFTA), sowie Vorstandsmitglied
des tschechischen Verbands der
audiovisuellen Produzent:innen (APA)
und Mitglied des Präsidiums der Tschechischen
Film- und Fernsehakademie
(CFTA). Außerdem unterrichtet er an der
FAMU in Prag.
Jiří Konečný (born in 1973) is a Czech
film producer, as well as the founder and
owner of Endorfilm, which is primarily
focused on producing films for cinema.
His films have been selected for numerous
international festivals, including
Cannes, Venice and the Berlinale, and
have received more than 100 awards,
including the Golden Bear, Silver Bear
and Crystal Bear at the Berlinale, and
the Orizzonti Award For Best Screenplay
in Venice. Nine of his films have been
national candidates for an Oscar.
He graduated from the University of
Economics in Prague and from FAMU.
He is a graduate of EAVE and “Producer
on the Move” at Cannes. He is a member
of European Film Academy (EFA), Czech
Film and Television Academy (CFTA),
Slovak Film and Television Academy
(SFTA), a member of the Managing
Board of the Czech Audiovisual Producers’
Association (APA) and a member
of the Presidium of the Czech Film and
Television Academy (CFTA). He teaches
at FAMU in Prague.
Ilinca Manolache wurde in Bukarest
in eine Schauspieler:innenfamilie
geboren. Sie studierte Schauspiel an
der „National University of Theatre
and Film“ (Bukarest) und spielt seit

erste Hauptrolle ist Angela aus Radu
Judes neuestem Film: DO NOT EXPECT
TOO MUCH FROM THE END OF THE
WORLD. Ilinca ist erklärte Feministin,
die vom Mainstream-Theater genug
hat, neugierig auf Film ist und Lust auf
Experimente hat.
Ilinca Manolache was born in Bucharest
into a family of actors. She studied
acting at the National University of
Theatre and Film (Bucharest) and has
performed on Bucharest’s main stages
ever since she graduated. In cinema, she
has primarily collaborated with Radu
Jude, having roles in films such as I DO
NOT CARE IF WE GO DOWN IN HISTORY
and BAD LUCK BANGING OR LOONEY
PORN (Golden Bear – Berlinale). Her
first leading role is as Angela in Radu
Jude’s latest film DO NOT EXPECT TOO
MUCH FROM THE END OF THE WORLD.
Ilinca is an outspoken feminist who is a
bit fed up with mainstream theatre and
intrigued and curious about cinema and
ready to experiment.
