Nicoletta Romeo arbeitete als
Programmleiterin für die Internationale
Kritikerwoche in Venedig und als
Programmberaterin für das Filmfestival
von Thessaloniki und 4 Ecrans, Paris.
Seit 1996 arbeitet sie mit dem Trieste
Film Festival als Festivalprogrammerin
zusammen und wurde 2016 zur künstlerischen
Leiterin des TSFF ernannt. Sie
kuratierte mehrere Retrospektiven, die
dem griechischen, rumänischen, polnischen,
georgischen und jugoslawischen
Kino gewidmet waren.
Sie war Jurymitglied bei zahlreichen
europäischen Filmfestivals und hat
mit mehreren Trainingsprogrammen
und italienischen Universitäten
zusammengearbeitet.
Im Jahr 2012 war sie Mitbegründerin der
Produktionsfirma Mansarda Production
und produzierte den Dokumentarfilm
THE LAST RESORT / L'ULTIMA
SPIAGGIA von Thanos Anastopoulos
und Davide Del Degan.
Nicoletta Romeo worked as Head
of Programming for the Venice
International Critics Week and as a
program advisor for the Thessaloniki
Film Festival and 4 Ecrans, Paris. Since
1996, she has been collaborating with
the Trieste Film Festival as festival
programmer, and in 2016 she was
appointed TSFF Artistic Director. She
has curated several retrospectives
dedicated to Greek, Romanian, Polish,
Georgian and Yugoslav cinema.
She has served as a jury member at
numerous European film festivals and
has collaborated with several training
programs as well as Italian universities.
In 2012, she co-founded the production
company Mansarda Production and
produced the documentary THE LAST
RESORT / L’ULTIMA SPIAGGIA, directed
by Thanos Anastopoulos and Davide
Del Degan.
Hamze Bytyçi ist Regisseur, Kurator,
Performer und Vorsitzender der Berliner
Roma-Organisation RomaTrial e.V..
Er wurde in Kosovo geboren, studierte
Schauspiel in Freiburg, und gründete
2012 RomaTrial e.V. sowie 2017 das
Internationale Roma-Filmfestival „AKE
DIKHEA?“, das er seitdem künstlerisch
leitet. Zu Bytyçis letzten Filmen zählen
der kurze Dokumentarfilm JOŽKA
(2017) sowie eine Serie von neun
animierten Kurzfilmen über Überlebende
und Opfer des NS-Völkermords an Sinti*
und Roma* (2019-2022), die Teil des
Denkmals für die ermordeten Sinti* und
Roma* Europas sind.
Hamze Bytyçi is a director, curator,
performer and chairman of the Berlin-based
Roma organisation RomaTrial
e.V.. He was born in Kosovo, studied
acting in Freiburg and founded Roma
Trial e.V. in 2012 and “AKE DIKHEA?”, the
international festival for Romani cinema
in 2017, for which he has since served
as artistic director. Bytyçi's most recent
films include the short documentary film
JOŽKA (2017) as well as a series of nine
animated short films about survivors
and victims of the Nazi genocide of the
Sinti and Roma peoples (2019-2022),
which are part of the monument for the
murdered Sinti* and Roma* of Europe.
