Mit zahlreichen Aufnahmen von Einheimischen verschiedener Stämme (u.a.<br />

Wahrscheinlichkeit stammt das Album aus dem Umkreis britischer Goldgräber<br />
um Captain Henry Francis „Skipper“ Hoste (1853-1936) und seine drei<br />
Brüder. Die unter dem Namen „Hoste Brothers and Biscoe“ agierende<br />
Gruppe war ab 1890 u.a. in dem bekannten Goldfeld Hartley Hills und in der<br />
ion eef oldmine in Simbabwe aktiv beide ier abebildet. as Album<br />
enthält ebenfalls Porträt-Aufnahmen der Gebrüder Hoste und einiger ihrer<br />
Gefolgsleute wie z.B. Arthur Eyre und Lord und Lady Henry Paulet. Des Weiteren<br />
sind Aufnamen von der ad mit erleten ieren iraen lepanten nus<br />
enthalten. Enthält zudem Ausschnitte aus illustrierten Werken der Zeit über<br />
die abebildeten eionen. - Albumseiten teils ebrunt und etwas eki.<br />
