The rearing of our horses
and the vet checks
Rearing in Marbach
Some 200 young horses – including boarders
– grow up in large herds on the vast pasture
lands of the Marbach outyards Hau, Güterstein,
Fohlenhof and Schafhaus. At the age
of three, the Marbach youngsters get started
under saddle with great care according to the
principles of classical riding while they continue
to live in their herds. In November 2011
Haupt- und Landgestüt Marbach was the winner
in the category “Breeding and Rearing of
Horses” in a nation-wide competition of equine
businesses that was carried through under the
motto “The Future belongs to Quality Stables”
for its rearing conditions that after more than
500 years still meet the highest standards of
quality.
All Marbach auction horses have been thoroughly
examined by the vets clinically and by
the taking of x-ray pictures. And examination
results are available too about the health of
the breeders’ horses. Our vets are readily prepared
to furnish information about all horses.

Am Auktionstag können die Röntgenaufnahmen
sowie die Untersuchungsprotokolle aller
Auktionspferde in der Zeit von 10.30 bis
12.30 Uhr im Besucherinformationszentrum
„Treffpunkt“ im Gestütshof Marbach eingesehen
werden.
