Abstract
Power supply
In the voltage transformation station Pirka of the Steweag-Steg GmbH (Ltd.), an additional
110/20kV-transformer is to be installed in 2006/07, for which the entire VTS Pirka must be
held voltage-free, thus having to supply the medium voltage (MV) networks through other
stations.
To provide the data for setting up a possible switching sequence program for the power
transfer and isolating, the current load and net settings had to be registered in the present
work.
In the next step, in the branch circuit Mantscha of the 20-kV station Pirka, a new substation
was to be integrated, along with a low-voltage distribution network – intended to supply a
housing estate and a small enterprise with electric current, with roughly 400 kW connected
load.
A reactive-power compensation equipment (to be dimensioned and calculated) is necessary to
counter the inductive power requirements of the enterprise concerned.
Eventually, possible measures for the overvoltage protection (both at high-voltage and at lowvoltage-level)
as well as the economic factors of this project realisation are discussed at
length.
