NS Archive in Bad Arolsen to be Opened for Researchers.<br />
<strong>The</strong> competent eleven countries have finally agreed on opening up the files <strong>of</strong> the NS-Archive<br />
in Bad Arolsen/Germany for researchers. <strong>The</strong> biggest nazi-archive worldwide contains<br />
personal files <strong>of</strong> 17,5 millions prisoners, displaced persons and forced labourers, including the<br />
famous "Schindler list". Previously the archive was accessed exclusively by the Red Cross<br />
<strong>International</strong> Tracing Service. <strong>The</strong> final agreement on the opening <strong>of</strong> the archives was<br />
preceded by a long struggle based on the conflict between the rights on information and<br />
personal rights.<br />
Bulgaria: More <strong>Communist</strong> Archives Declassified.<br />
On November 13, <strong>20</strong>06, more then 7<strong>20</strong>0 pages archival material <strong>of</strong> the Bulgarian secret<br />
service were declassified and opened for research. <strong>The</strong> materials cover the period between<br />
1944 and 1990 and concern the country's <strong>Communist</strong> past. This is part <strong>of</strong> the Bulgarian<br />
government's effort since May <strong>20</strong>06 to ease up accessability <strong>of</strong> archival material.<br />
Victor-Serge-Library in Moscow Reopens.<br />
After a relocation, the Victor-Serge-Library opened its doors again on November 22nd, <strong>20</strong>06.<br />
<strong>The</strong> library, maintained by the "PRAKSIS" research society, is specialized in left-wing<br />
antitotalitarian movements in Russia and the world, hosting over 4000 books and brochures,<br />
many <strong>of</strong> them unique and <strong>no</strong>t to be found in any other library on Russian territory. <strong>The</strong> new<br />
adress is: Meščerskij pereulok, d. 2, korp. 5, pod'ezd 6. <strong>The</strong> library is open on Mondays<br />
between 15:00 and <strong>20</strong>:00, on Wednesdays between 10:00 and 15:00 and on Saturdays<br />
