It is a reflection of a two-faced head, in one split
second; one piercing the void of this thick air,
the other escaping through the looking glass.
It is an aperture, an aisle, a passage.
An incision turning into a wound turning into a
crust turning into a scar.
A baby being born.
A splinter of guts made of ice, melting.
It is the golden hour. Alpenglow. Belt of Venus.
A record of an elapsed time where we relinquish
our human faculties and become Chiroptera.
It is life after death after life.
“Which comes first?” you ask.
“Dreams beyond death and life”

At the pinnacle of your harvest, you were a
docile garden.
Now your crops are your roots, rambling wild.
Here we are, together in this room, cutting the
crops, cutting the cut, and from that crack exude
a new dreamer. They say
“Tell your good dreams to the trees, bad dreams
to the water.”
The cut, at the end, is the atrophy of our mind, a
break to the past, our fading into oblivion.
