Theory and Practice
WSI-Mitteilungen is an academic journal with a focus on
practical and policy-related issues. It provides up-to-date information
on research results in the fields of labour, economy
and social affairs, encourages an interdisciplinary exchange
of ideas and provides a source of reference for players in the
fields of labour relations, economics and practical policy making.
WSI-Mitteilungen communicates complex information
in a structured and accessible form. A double-blind peer review
process guarantees the standards of scientific papers. Short
evaluations, commentaries and practical examples reflect
current socio-political problems, and proposed solutions are
discussed. WSI-Mitteilungen is published in German.
Themes regularly addressed:

■ Macroeconomics, economic and fiscal policy

WSI-Mitteilungen is published by the Institute of Economic
and Social Research (WSI) of the Hans Böckler Foundation.
The journal is published six times per year, with three issues
on a range of themes and three special issues.

HEADINGS
Analyses, News, Discussion
Articles take an empirical and theoretical view of socially relevant
developments with the aim of extending scientific and practical
knowledge. A double-blind peer review process guarantees
scientific quality standards.
WSI reports appear at regular intervals and analyse collective
bargaining policy and wage trends in Germany and Europe as
well as the distribution of social wealth in Germany.
Research reports present up-to-date findings from empirical
research, data analyses and surveys of the current state of research.
Practice-based articles present reports and assessments of
current policy and trade union developments by academics and
practitioners.
Debate offers a forum for discussion of controversial scholarly
or political issues.
Book reviews introduce new publications in the fields of social
and economic sciences.
The editors welcome submissions of manuscripts.
