Maximilian Schmänk, the son of Ludwig
Schmänk, joins the company shortly before
its 90th anniversary.
Extensive investment in a new generation
of weaving machines.
Obtained the licence for Tom Tailor Bath.
Construction of a new automatic logistics
centre with space for 15,000 pallets.
Obtained the Tom Tailor Bed licence.
Hans-Jürgen Schmänk, the son of Heinz
Schmänk, joins the company. Followed two
years later by Ludwig Schmänk, the son of
Walter Schmänk.
Registration of the brand names Biberna,
Frauenlob and Flanessa.
The sons Heinz and Walter Schmänk join
the executive board. The weaving mill now
has more than 20 employees.
Josef Schmänk establishes a small
contract weaving mill in Dingden, North
Rhine-Westphalia.
In 2022, our fourth generation, family-run traditional company H. u. W. Schmänk
GmbH & Co. KG celebrates its 90th anniversary. With our Westphalian roots,
we have become well-known as a quality manufacturer of premium bed linen.
Our annual collections of the Biberna brand form the heart of our varied product
portfolio, whose addition of selected top brands provides you with everything
you could wish for. As an all-rounder in the bed linen sector, we therefore cover
the entire market range.
We owe our success and ability to delight our customers repeatedly for such a
long time to our home-made mix of modern and flexible production methods,
exclusive designs and our first-class promise of Made in Germany quality, which
ensures we adhere to the highest environmental standards at the same time.
Our approximately 130 skilled employees at this time contribute so much of their
commitment and personal effort to our company every day. Well-qualified young
people are also important to our family business. Which is why we regularly train
them in production, logistics and design as well as in business-related fields.
Our special thanks go to our co-workers as well as our long-standing business
associates and end customers – without all of them, our company’s ongoing
success would not have been possible.
We continue to look to the future with confidence. With innovation in design and
technology, we will remain competitive and look forward to the next decade.
