Pfefferminze entstand durch eine
zufällige Kreuzung von Bach- und
Waldminze und wurde 1696 in
England entdeckt. Sie wird sowohl
als Heilpflanze geschätzt, als auch
wegen des frischen Geschmacks, der
auf den hohen Anteil an Menthol im
ätherischen Minzöl zurückzuführen
ist. Edel verwendet für viele
Pfefferminzbonbons das besonders
hochwertige und edle „Mitcham
Pfefferminzöl“.
