Schmugglersteig zwischen Österreich und Italien, im ersten Weltkrieg blutig umkämpfte Front und später der Weitwanderweg, der
heute von Osttirol nach Kärnten führt und immer wieder Abstecher ins benachbarte Italien anbietet. Für Pedalritter bietet sich der
Drauradweg an. Die Startetappe von Sillian nach Lienz ist zugleich die schönste und am besten ausgebaute Tour. Sie wird von vielen
Gästen auch als einfacher Tagesausfl ug mit der gesamten Familie genossen. Attraktionen wie das Aigner Badl, die Burg Heinfels, das
Schwimmbad in Thal-Assling oder die Galitzenklamm machen die Radtour abwechslungsreich.

NEAR THE DOLOMITES

NATURE MEETS CULTURE
In the Hochpuster valley cultural treasures are strung together like a string of
pearls. Visit the pilgrimage church “Maria Schnee”, which is situated in the small
hamlet Kalkstein at 1640 m altitude.
There are particularly attractive off ers for hikers and cyclists in the Hochpuster
valley. The Carnic Alpine road was an earlier smuggler’s path between Austria
and Italy, in the First World War it was a bloody fought front and later created the
long-distance hiking path, which ran from Osttirol to Kärnten, and always off ers
detours into neighbouring Italy. For pedal-pushers there is the Drau cycle path.
The starting stage from Innichen via Sillian to Lienz is the most beautiful and also
the best fully developed tour. It is also enjoyed by many guests as an easy day
trip with the whole family. Attractions such as the Aigner Badl, Burg Heinfels, the
outdoor swimming pool in Thal-Assling and the Galitzenklamm make for a cycling
tour which is rich in diversity.

FAMILY HOLIDAY REALLY RELAXED
A range of hosts make up the family nest that is the Hochpuster valley. They are
subject to criteria which are continually monitored, which means that families get
the comfort they are looking for. On the request of parents, specially trained child
supervisors look after the’Wichtel’ (munchkins) - as children are aff ectionately
called by the locals - sometimes for full days. Wichtelpark in Sillian has become
a duty call for families who are regular guests, in the same way as the summer
toboggan run and the wildlife park in Assling or the Coach museum Obertilliach.

Una vista del oppure il santuario „Maria Schnee“ nel pacifi co casale di Innervillgraten,
nel paesello Kalkstein su 1640 metri d’altitudine e valido da vedere.
L’alta Pusteria ha delle off erte molto attraenti per gli escursionisti o ciclisti: il sentiero
di montagna carnico era in precedenza una strada di contrabbando fra
l’Austria e l’Italia; durante la prima guerra mondiale è diventato un sanguinoso
fronte di battaglie e dopo è stato usato come un sentiero di passaggio che portava
dal Osttirol alla Carinzia verso il confi ne italiano. Per i ciclisti c’è la pista
ciclabile di Drava. La tappa iniziale da Innichen passando per Sillian fi no a Lienz
è contemporaneamente il tour più bello e meglio strutturato. Da molti turisti viene
anche apprezzato come semplice gita di una giornata con tutta la famiglia. Le
attrazioni come l’Aigner Badl, Burg Heinfels, la piscina a Thal-Assling o la Gola
della Galizia rendono il tour sempre più vario.

VACANZA PER LA FAMIGLIA MOOOLTO RILASSANTE
