Abstract: After fog and lull under<br />
Spi to the finish<br />
A total of 132 yachts of various sizes<br />
and classes had registered for the<br />
35 th Peter Gast Schiffahrtsregatta.<br />
This year, the river Schlei estuary welcomed<br />
the partaking sailors not only<br />
with too little wind again but also<br />
with fog in the morning. Far ahead<br />
of the main field sailing under Spinnaker<br />
towards the target ship, two<br />
yachts competed in an exciting final:<br />
the classic yacht »Tioga« chartered<br />
by E.R. Schiffahrt succeeded to relegate<br />
the modern »Almost Nothing« to<br />
second place only a few meters before<br />
reaching the finish line.<br />
