Stefan Szczesny
Stefan Szczesny ist ein deutscher Künstler mit Wohnsitz in
St. Tropez und gilt als Vertreter der sog. »Neuen Wilden« und des
Neo expressionismus. Viele Elemente des Neoexpressionismus
finden sich in seinen Arbeiten wieder: großformatige Bilder
mit betonter Malweise; gezielte Formlosigkeit; schwungvoller,
heftiger Pinselstrich; kräftige Farbigkeit; Ausdruck der eigenen
Empfindungen des Künstlers. Szczesny möchte die Be trach ter
empathisch »nach oben ziehen«, Glücks gefühle auslösen und
die Sehnsucht nach der Wärme des Südens wecken.
Sail-Edition
Mit der Sail-Edition zur Kampagne Sailing #Art4GlobalGoals
möchte Stefan Szczesny gemeinsam mit dem artstar Verlag
aktiv Projekte unterstützen, die sich der Umsetzung der
Global Goals widmen. Deswegen geht ein Teilerlös von
400 EUR pro verkauftem Segel als Spende an die YOU Stiftung
– Bildung für Kinder in Not, in offiziellen Be zieh ungen
zur UNESCO. Die streng limitierten Editionen sind exklusiv
über den artstar Verlag erhältlich.
Sailing #Art4GlobalGoals
For many years now, curator Dirk Geuer from Düsseldorf has
been advocating for issues such as sustainability, peace and education
together with the YOU Foundation and various artists. Now
he had the idea for a sailing exhibition. This was brought to life by
the internationally renowned painter and sculptor Stefan Szczesny.
On 17 sails, he interpreted one of the Sustainable Development
Goals of the United Nations each on behalf of the #Art-
4GlobalGoals campaign.
In 2021, the works were presented for the first time at a very special
kind of vernissage on the water. In the form of an art regatta,
the sails on boats of the German Sailing League could be seen
from the banks of the Rhine in Monheim. Supported by the artstar
Verlag and the YOU Foundation, the project entitled »Sailing
#Art4GlobalGoals« started there in August and sailed down the
Rhine to Düsseldorf. Further implementations, also internationally,
are already being planned.
With the Sail Edition for the Sailing #Art4GlobalGoals campaign,
Stefan Szczesny, together with the artstar Verlag, wants to
actively support projects that are dedicated to the implementation
of the Global Goals. For this reason, part of the proceeds – 400
EUR per sail sold – will be donated to the YOU Foundation, in
official relations with UNESCO. The strictly limited editions are
available exclusively at the artstar Verlag.
