Mensa Peru is still a very young organisation,
just over four years old. However, the
association is very dynamic and, in less
than four years, has been recognised as an
Emergent National Mensa. In addition to
what Mensa traditionally offers, we also
provide our members with personal development
programmes to learn how to better
use their intelligence and develop their
potential, other tests to better know themselves,
intellectual stimulation and psychological
help.

Being lucky enough to have met people who
share what they believe was Dr. Lancelot
Ware‘s original vision of Mensa, Mexico is
one of those places where the official regional
group recognition from MIL – back in
2008 – occurred because we firmly believed
in the importance of „fostering human intelligence
for the benefit of humanity“.
Mensa as a whole is complicated as not
everyone joins Mensa for the same reasons.
For some people it is „just“ a social club, for
others it is a way to tell the rest of the world
how smart they are. In this context, the path
to „foster human intelligence for the benefit
of humanity“ as Mensa is not a simple one.
We’ve made several small projects to practice
this objective in the past, from collecting
books to give away, supporting science
communications projects, planting trees,
donating blood or organizing logical olympics
for children. We also started the gifted
children area to support them as well as
their parents.
The future of Mensa in the world and in
Mexico should walk along with fulfilling
our main objectives.

Singapur
Like people everywhere else, Singaporeans
are trying our best to cope with the
Covid-19 pandemic and have a normal social
life at the same time. We miss travelling
and attending regional events. As Mensa
Singapore pivoted our activities to online
sessions, we were happy to see unexpected
benefits in terms of regional collaboration
which we did not have prior to the pandemic.
Our monthly Fireside Chats where we
invite speakers to share their knowledge on
various topics are well attended not just by
Mensa Singapore members, but also members
from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines,
and even countries as far as Germany.
At the same time, we also get to attend
online gatherings of other chapters. This
speaks of Mensans‘ ability to adapt to
change and make the most out of a bad situation.

Mensa Cyprus is planning a dynamic restart
as the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic
ease by moving quickly to the next development
stage as Provisional National Mensa.
