Katalog zur Antiquariatsmesse Stuttgart 2021: Die Antiquariatsmesse Stuttgart als größtes Schaufenster für wertvolle Objekte des Antiquariats- und Graphikhandels in Deutschland findet in diesem Jahr in ungewohnter Form statt. Da eine Präsenzmesse nicht stattfinden kann, haben sich 76 Kollegen aus Deutschland, Großbritannien, Österreich, Frankreich, der Schweiz, den Niederlanden, den Vereinigten Staaten und aus Australien zusammengefunden, um einen Katalog für die Messe zu erstellen und gleichzeitig ein Angebot für eine virtuelle Messe zusammengetragen. The spine-ends of the binding are restored, the top clasp
does not close properly, text-block modestly browned
with some small pieces of margin lacking. Lacks the
bottom corner of fol. 64 and repaired accordingly,
because of this a few letters missing on the recto. With
extensive annotations in the front and back and also a
few in the margins of the main work by the same hand.
A firm and complete copy.

Tiny gap in page 127/128 of the first volume, waterstain
in the bottom-margin of the last pages of volume
2 and a few wormholes in the top margin of the same
pages. – Brenz’s Commentaries on the Book of Psalms,
here the first 10 volumes or Decades containing Psalm
1 until 100. Johannes Brenz (1499–1570) was a German
Protestant Reformer and principal leader of the
Reformation in Württemberg. He wrote his homilies
mostly with the intention of teaching preachers about
preaching and compiled them in Latin to be read out to
theology students. This series on the Psalms was Brenz’
last spiritual endeavour and it remained unfinished as
he died in the process, psalm 101–106 by his hand were
later published posthumously by Dietrich Schnepff
(1525–1586), his son in law who also continued and
finished the series.

with clasp, gilt-edged and gauffered text block, 8°,
17 × 11 × 3 cm. € 5250,–
Text block slightly browned. German song and church
book bound in a richly decorated silver binding with
a silver single clasp. Engraved into oval medallions on
the binding are 13 biblical scenes among which the Annunciation,
Crucifixion, Resurrection, Moses and the
copper snake and Jesus and the Samaritan woman. The
binding is probably made at Augsburg around 1860, the
inside of the clasp is marked with various silver marks
but they are not clear enough to determine. A firm copy.
