Die am Produktionsanfang grünen Kaffeebohnen
gelangen aus verschiedenen Ursprungsländern
nach Upahl. Von hier nehmen 25 Kilogramm
schwere Pakete mit fertigem Kaffee den Weg zur
unternehmenseigenen Vermarktung innerhalb
der weltweit agierenden Strauss-Gruppe, zu dem
das Werk in Upahl seit 2017 komplett gehört. 100
Mitarbeiter mit anspruchsvollen Jobs produzieren
rund um die Uhr. Durchaus erfolgreich: Nach
Blindverkostungen steigt das Interesse auch auf
dem deutschen Markt. Die Kaffeeproduzenten
machen ebenso auf sich aufmerksam: Schulen,
Kitas und Vereine profitieren von bürgerschaft -
lichem Engagement. Eine Million Euro investiert
das Unternehmen jährlich in Prozessoptimierung,
Energieeinsparung und Mitarbeiterentwicklung.
Und ganz sicher in neue Rezepturen für den
besonderen Kaffee.
Kaffeegenuss anderer Art kommt aus Schwerin.
Hier steht der größte und modernste Produktionsstandort
für NESCAFÉ ® Dolce Gusto ® -Kapseln in
Europa. Mehr als 370 Mitarbeiter produzieren
jährlich zwei Milliarden Kapseln. 30 verschiedene
Kreationen stehen für eine große geschmackliche
Vielfalt. Die rohen Kaffeebohnen aus aller Welt
kommen über den Hamburger Hafen nach

2017. 100 employees with demanding jobs are hard
at work making coffee 24/7. And they’re successful
too: blind tasting sessions have revealed that
interest is also growing on the German market.
Similarly, the coffee producers are also attracting
the attention of the general public: schools, kindergartens
and associations benefit from the com -
pany’s social commitment. Every year, the firm invests
one million Euros in optimising its processes
and saving energy, and also in staff development.
And quite definitely in new recipes for special
coffee.
Another kind of coffee delight comes from
Schwerin. The city is home to the largest and most
advanced production site for NESCAFÉ ® Dolce
Gusto ® capsules in Europe. More than 370
employees produce two billion capsules every year.
