Mehrere Millionen bedruckter Eierkartons werden hier pro Jahr hergestellt und an Kunden in ganz Europa geliefert. with additional organic items and seasonal spe - cialities.” Initially, the organic woodland turkey was just intended as a seasonal product. Meanwhile, it is in great demand at various times throughout the year. “Our aim is to offer something quite special and extravagant that you can’t get any - where else”, Armin Kremer explains. This goes very well with the aspiration to find alternative forms for conventional animal husbandry. He is very con - cerned about the current tendency to overbreed the turkeys. “This can’t be healthy. There must be another way”, he says. It’s not a case of deriding conventional animal husbandry. After all, he too produces mainly without the organic seal. Instead, he is looking for another way entirely, even if this takes great effort and a lot of money. “It’s certainly taking lots of energy and all my powers of conviction.” But in time he can see that a transfor mation is taking place, one that his own company has faced up to successfully. Kremer hopes that in a few years he can change over to 100 percent organic farming. Until then, he continues to advocate transparency and reliability. “It makes a great difference if you can tell the customers exactly where the animals are kept and how they are processed”, says Kremer with conviction. Innovative packaging for poultry products Visual impressions play a key role in purchasing decisions. Modern egg boxes come from eggbox GmbH in Wittenburg. They are printed in bright colours all over and act as a real eye-catcher. eggbox managing director Gunnar Jensen swears by the competitive advantage that this gives his customers. “Egg boxes with this striking design clearly stand out from conventional moulded pulp packaging.” Gunnar Jensen who comes from Hamburg took over the company in 2010 with his former partner and settled in Wittenburg. Production began with three machines. Today eleven machines are at work with four more in the pipeline. Several million printed egg boxes are made here every year and sent to customers all over
