Conclusions:
From a differential diagnostic point of view, viscerally induced shoulder joint
dysfunctions have to be taken into consideration before introducing the appropriate
therapy. The insights in the subjective perspectives and evaluation strategies
pertaining to the manifestation and the identification of viscerally associated shoulder
pain gained in this study encourage further reflexion on the osteopathic practise
therefore contributing to diagnostic reasoning in the osteopathic field.
