General Information<br />
The Summer school APM'2002 is organized by Institute for Problems in Mechanical<br />
Engineering of Russian Academy of Sciences (IPME RAS) under patronage of Russian<br />
Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und<br />
Mechanik (<strong>GAMM</strong>). APM'2002 is the thirtieth in a series of annual summer schools<br />
held by Russian Academy of Sciences. The main purpose of the meeting is to gather<br />
specialists from different branches of mechanics to provide a platform for crossfertilisation<br />
of ideas.<br />
Scientific Programme<br />
Presentations devoted to fundamental aspects of mechanics, or spreading the field of<br />
applications of mechanics, are invited. We are particularly keen to receive contributions<br />
that show new effects and phenomena or develop new mathematical models. The topics<br />
