Dear colleagues and friends of HOPPECKE,
Maintain course! That was
our motto for the continuing
development of the company
in 2005.
Against a background of difficult
trading conditions with severely
increased raw material prices and
a tough competitor situation, we
have had a successful year.
Our turnover has grown by ca 15%.
We have increased our market share
through developments which include
the acquisition of new customers.
HOPPECKE is now the largest European
owned producer of industrial
battery systems.
With a minimum 40 hour week for
all employees and six day working
incorporating innovative working
conditions in our manufacturing
plants, we have established a solid
foundation on which to strengthen
our competitiveness.
In addition we have further increased
the number of our employees
with the creation of 55 additional
jobs spread across the company

both nationally and internationally.
We are proud of this.
The coming year will be especially
exciting for HOPPECKE. In the
charger sector we and our sister
company HOPPECKE Technologies
will complete our first full trading
year together, in Asia our manufacturing
units will commence series
production for the region’s markets
and we will launch innovative new
products and services in all sectors
of our business.
We in Hoppecke cannot satisfy
everybody’s interest to their complete
satisfaction by compromising
down to even the smallest of issues.
We live by clear objectives, disciplined
behaviour and mutual confidence.
We believe in the strengths
of our company and have confidence
in the desire and capabilities
of our colleagues. Everybody in
HOPPECKE is conscious of the fact
that we can only continue to grow
profitably when everyone is superior
at his job than our competitors are
at theirs. We will further develop our
strengths.
In 2006 we will initiate a companywide
training drive. We will double
our personnel development and
training budget. In Germany alone
we will school 30 young people and
will support a further 30 with practical
assistance at the start of their
careers. We want to improve and
develop every single employee as
determined by at least one training
measure in 2006.
We know and will demonstrate that
good prospects exist for family
owned companies who are outward
looking and who think and operate
internationally.
We would like to thank our customers
for their confidence and
for their fruitful and stimulating business
relationships with us. We will
continue to maintain our present
course, following our objectivesdriven
path. In this, we are pleased
to have and are thankful for your
trust in the people and performance
of HOPPECKE.
