Die von Gütermann entwickelte MCT - Technologie, in Verbindung
mit der Wasserabstoßenden Ausrüstung, lassen weder Wasser noch
Feuchtigkeit eine Chance. Perfekt für Zelte, Persenninge, Sonnensegel
und alle Laminate, die Wolkenbrüchen und Regengüssen ausgesetzt
sind. Mara WA ist die optimale Lösung für wasserdichte Nähte.
Herkömmliche Umspinnzwirne haben naturgemäß Dünn- und
Dickstellen. Sie bestehen aus Fasern, die eine haarige Optik erzeugen
und daher mehr Abrieb aufweisen. Ganz anders MCT-Fäden: Sie
sind glatter und gleichmäßiger, da sie aus Filamenten bestehen, die
sich ohne Unterbrechung in Micro Loops durch den Faden ziehen.
Die Vorteile: Eine hohe mechanische Belastbarkeit und gleichbleibende
Fadenspannungen in der Verarbeitung sowie deutlich weniger
Fadenbrüche. Zu guter Letzt sind Mara-MCT-Fäden sauberer: Da sie
keine Faserenden haben, gibt es praktisch keinen Abrieb. All das macht
MCT-Fäden zu Garanten für die perfekte Naht – einwandfrei vernähbar,
ausgezeichnet in der Optik.

The MCT technology developed by Gütermann combined with the
water-repellent finish, water and moisture do not stand a chance of
penetrating the fabric. Making it perfect for tents, tarpaulins, awnings
and all laminates that are intended to protect you from cloudbursts and
downpours. Mara WA is the optimal solution for watertight seams.
Conventional core-spun threads have naturally occurring thin and thick
sections. These consist of fibres that look hairy and therefore show
higher levels of abrasion. This is not the case with MCT threads. These
are smoother and more even because they consist of filaments that
run continuously through the threads in micro loops. The advantages:
high mechanical resilience and constant thread tensions during fabrication
and considerably less thread breakage. And Mara MCT threads are
cleaner. As they do not have any fibre ends there is practically hardly
any abrasion. All this guarantees that MCT threads will create a perfect
seam - flawlessly sewable and aesthetically beautiful.
