Guest professor at the Universities of Canberra, Toulouse, New York<br />
University, Haifa and Singapore. In 2001, Prof. Dreier has also been<br />
appointed as Honorary Professor at the Albert-Ludwigs-University<br />
Freiburg; he also is a Member of the Faculty for Economics at the<br />
University of Karlsruhe (TH). Prof. Dreier is a Vice president of both<br />
the Association littéraire et artistique internationale (ALAI) and ALAI’s<br />
German national group. Since <strong>2005</strong>, he also chairs the Copyright<br />
Committee of the German Association for the Protection of<br />
Intellectual Property (Deutsche Vereinigung <strong>für</strong> gewerblichen<br />
Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht, e.V. (GRUR)). Between 2001 and<br />
<strong>2009</strong>, he also acts as managing Director of the German Computer<br />
Law Association (Deutsche Gesellschaft <strong>für</strong> Recht und Informatik, e.<br />
V., DGRI). Prof. Dreier has been advising the European Commission<br />
and the German Government. He was a Member of the Advisory<br />
Panel on Intellectual Property and of the Steering Committee on the<br />
Mass Media (CDMM) of the Council of Europe (2001 – 2004) and of<br />
the German Delegation at the Diplomatic Conference for the<br />
Conclusion of an International Treaty on the Protection of Integrated<br />
Circuits. Prof. Dreier is a co-editor of the new open access online<br />
journal “Journal of Intellectual Property, Information Technology and<br />
E-Commerce Law (JIPITEC)” (launching date: March 2010) and of the<br />
German English language legal periodical „Computer und Recht<br />
International (CRi)“. He also is a Member of the editorial boards of the<br />
legal periodicals „Computer und Recht“ (Germany), „Computer Law<br />
and Security Review (CLSR)“ (UK), „Propriétés intellectuelles“<br />
(France). He also co-edits the book series „Information und Recht“<br />
and the „Karlsruher Schriften zum Wettbewerbs- und<br />
