1.4 Location<br />
The Center for Applied Legal Studies/Institute for Information Law is<br />
located in proximity of the building of the Faculty of Informatics at the<br />
eastern part of the University campus. In spring 2010, it will move to<br />
new locations. The new address will be Vincenz-Prießnitz-Str. 3,<br />

professors, the secretariats and the members of the research staff, as<br />
well as a library and a seminar room which also serves as library<br />
reading room where current issues of legal journals are on display.<br />
The seminar room may also be used for small academic and social<br />
events.<br />
1.5 Library<br />
Up until 1999 and in conformity with the research focus of the former<br />
Institute of Legal Studies, the law library, which covers a wide variety<br />
of legal areas, concentrated on environmental law. Since 1999,<br />
however, a comprehensive collection of books and periodicals on the<br />
law of intellectual property and information law has been assembled.<br />
Currently, the library has some 9.600 volumes, including loose-leaf<br />
publications, and has subscribed to some 75 journals. The materials<br />
are completed by a collection of legal journals on CD-ROMs. The<br />
library of the Center for Applied Legal Studies is a presence library<br />
open not only to members of the research staff, students and<br />
members of the University, but within opening hours likewise to the<br />
