Die Oblatengemeinschaft der Abtei St. Hildegard<br />
Unsere Berufung<br />
Oblaten sind Christen, die ihr alltägliches Leben in der Welt nach den Grundwerten und<br />
Grundhaltungen der Benediktsregel ausrichten möchten.<br />
Oblaten möchten ihre Gottesbeziehung intensiver und in Anbindung an ein bestimmtes Kloster<br />
leben. Das Oblatentum ist offen für alle Stände: zur Oblatengemeinschaft unserer Abtei<br />
gehören Alleinstehende, Ehepaare und Priester.<br />
Unsere Oblatengemeinschaft<br />
Bei mehreren Oblatentreffen im Jahr werden die persönliche Gottesbeziehung der einzelnen<br />
und die Gemeinschaft der Oblaten untereinander vertieft.<br />
Der Kontakt zu den Schwestern der Abtei ermöglicht den geistlichen Austausch mit dem Konvent.<br />
Die Vielfalt des Oblatentums wird erfahrbar durch vielfältige Kontakte zu Oblatengemeinschaften<br />
anderer Klöster.<br />
Nationales und internationales Oblatenn<strong>et</strong>zwerk<br />
Zur Förderung des geistlichen Lebens und des spirituellen Austauschs finden alle zwei Jahre<br />
überregionale Treffen von Oblaten deutschsprachiger Klöster in der Abtei St. Ottilien statt.<br />
Auf internationaler Ebene treffen sich Oblaten aus aller Welt alle vier Jahre in Rom zum Weltkongress<br />
der Benediktineroblaten.<br />

Our Vocation<br />
Oblates are Christians who – while living in the world – wish to practise a Benedictine<br />
way of life.<br />
Oblates dedicate their lives to the service of God more intensively by bonding themselves<br />
to a monastery or convent of their own choice.<br />
Oblation is open to people of any status. The oblate community of the Abbey of St Hildegard<br />
consists of singles, married couples and priests.<br />
Our Oblate Community<br />
During several yearly oblate me<strong>et</strong>ings the personal relationship with God as well as that<br />
b<strong>et</strong>ween the individual oblates and the oblate community grows closer.<br />
The contact with the Sisters enables the oblates to share the spiritual life and ideals of<br />
the convent community.<br />
The vari<strong>et</strong>y of oblation can be experienced through a wide range of contacts b<strong>et</strong>ween<br />
other monastic oblate communities worldwide.<br />
The national and the international n<strong>et</strong>work of oblates<br />
German speaking monasteries and convents organise me<strong>et</strong>ings nationwide in the Abbey<br />
of St Ottilien every two years to promote religious life and spiritual exchange.<br />
On an international level oblates from all over the world me<strong>et</strong> every four years in Rome<br />
for the world congress of Benedictine oblates.<br />
