World Summit Awards (WSA) 2018

For the first time the WSA Global Congress, an interactive
conference and workshop format, that aims to foster high-level
knowledge transfer between international and local stakeholders,
will reside in its country of origin, Austria.
The World Summit Awards are a unique
awards system, selecting and promoting
local digital innovation with high impact
on improving society. The 40 WSA Winners
2017 will present their projects - ranging
from big data for tourism to organ
3D printing, from a job-platform focusing
on female IT talent to empowering smallholder
farms or a miniature AED machine with
diagnostic app - and receive their
awards on stage during a festive
gala. Among those three projects
from Austria were selected by the
jury.

PocketDefi, the smallest and most affordable public
access defibrillator or AED (Automatic External Defibrillator).
With PocketDefi, first aiders can react immediately
in case of emergency and defibrillation becomes widely
available. Pocketdefi combines an AED-Hardware with
a mobile app, connecting to back-end servers. On top
PocketDefi offers a first responder system, called proximity alert, for
cardiac emergencies by alerting first aiders nearby on a call for help.

New XR technology features @ ISE
ISE 2018 will have more virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies and insight than ever before. This
