Ho ho ho.. Tobias Freund & Max
Loderbauer presents one hour of fi ne
electronic music directly recorder at the
Mutek festival, live, but not Ableton,
really live, this set is an improvisation
delivered with a Doepfer A-100, a Nord
Lead, a piano keyboard, a TR-808, a
Pearls synth and some effect units
.. I‘m sorry!.. Great music, deep and
visceral, sometimes acid, sims that
is going to explode every two minutes
but the duo keeps the kick down giving
us a great experimental mindblowing
performance. The fi rst drumline that
comes in is .. I don‘t know how to say
.. „On the Run „..
Think about the rest !
Stacey Pullen‘s 20:20 Visions
20:20 Visions CD182
Wie viele seiner Altersgenossen erfuhr
Stacey Pullen Mitte der Achziger die
Frische der ersten Detroit Techno Welle.
Er begann schnell selber Platten zu
kaufen und unternahm seine ersten
Gehversuche als DJ auf Schulparties.
Bald lernte er etablierte Größen des
Detroiter Undergrund kennen. Es folgte
die erste Drummaschine und ein Remix
für Kevin Saunderson. Danach ging
es mit Derreck May nach Europa um
dort einschlägige Club-Erfahrungen
zu sammeln. Schnell war er kein
Geheimtipp mehr. 1997 bat ihn Ralph
Lawson, Gründer des Labels 20:20
Visions, um einen Remix des Tracks
„Raptures of the Deep“, nachdem
sich Pullen vorrausgehend per Fax
für das Original bedankt hatte. Zwölf
Jahre und diverse Mixcompilations
später wurde Stacey Pullen in den
20:20 Visions Showroom gebeten,
um seine eigene Auswahl an 20:20
Platten zu präsentieren. Wie es sich
gehört, schweift der Mix von den
Anfängen des Labels bis zu jüngeren
Remixen von Johnny D und Julien
Chaptal. Spielerisch verknüpft „Stacey
Pullen’s 2020 Vision“. Vergangenheit
und Gegenwart ohne den zeitlichen
Unterschied spüren zu lassen. Sowas
hört man immer wieder gerne.
Rregular
The spanish producer goes dubber on
this double vinyl release on regular
label. 12 slow and trippy sunset tracks
between the play and the listen, groovy
but relaxing, to enjoy alone at home as
in a smiling crowd afterparty, or with
your love driving back from the sea, a
piece of summer.
Rhauder feat. St. Hilaire
No News
Ornaments 009
Ein dickes Eisen haben Rhauder und
Paul St. Hilaire mit der „No News“
EP ins Feuer gelegt. Die neuste
Episode der Ornaments Reihe gehört
zum absolutem Pfl ichtprogramm für
jeden Dub und Reggae Techno Fan.
In bester Kreuzberger Manier treffen
tiefe Wohlfühlbässe auf Offbeat-Klänge
und die Stimme von Paul St. Hilaire
alias Tikiman. Daniel Stefanik baut
in seiner Interpretation die Spuren zu
einem steil nach oben gerichteten UK
Garage Stepper um, der das Metall
endgültig zum Schmelzen bringt. Der
Labelbetreiber Marko Fürstenberg
hält es ähnlich traditionell wie das
Original und klopft die gelungene Platte
mit noch mehr Echo auf den Chords
zu einer runden Sache zusammen.
Drei von neun Platten der bunten
Ornaments Sammlung wurden bisher
rückwirkend gesichert.
Jilted Love
Clink 016
Mark Henning is one of the actual
producers that i like most, having
different records, each of those with
personal and particular attitude, in this
case we are on a groovy tech house
two tracker: Jilted love is a funkier
evolving song with a bright deepdropping
bass and warm male voices.
Punch bowl is more driven and hypnotic
thanks to a compulsive looping male
voice growing on the beat. Everyone will
love this tracks..
WoW ! Triple vinyl release for one of
the stones of techno. 10 tracks on
three vinyls bringing you in a journey
thru that analog, old school (but never
dead) detroitish and acid techno that
makes you want to lick the record..
Fast minimalistic stuff, in the pack you
will fi nd the eight tracks of the original
release plus two unreleased songs..
Got it.
