schon nicht mehr geglaubt hatte (nach ca. einem Jahr), bekam ich<br />
eine Anfrage der Deutschen Schule Pretoria geschickt. Es war nicht<br />
zu fassen! Ausgerechnet Pretoria, die Stadt in der ich Verwandte<br />
habe! Nach einigen langen familiären Gesprächen entschlossen wir<br />
uns zuzusagen und nun sind wir hier.<br />
Es ist ein sehr großer Schritt für uns gewesen, so weit mit unseren<br />
Kindern zu ziehen, aber Südafrika ist ein wunderschönes Land! Es<br />
gefällt uns hier wahnsinnig gut!<br />
An der Schule habe ich fast die gleichen Arbeits felder wie in<br />
Deutschland auch. Ich unterrichte die selben Fächer und mache<br />
viel Musik. Das Orchester und der Chor liegen mir dabei sehr am<br />
Herzen. Ich hoffe, dass ich noch viele talentierte Musikerinnen und<br />
Sängerinnen unter meine Fittiche nehmen darf!<br />

I‘m originally from Zimbabwe<br />
and I trained as a teacher at the<br />
University of Zimbabwe, majoring<br />
in Mathematics. I‘ve been teaching<br />
for 17 years as follows: 10<br />
years in Zimbabwe, 4 years in the<br />
South African system, 3 years at<br />
the American International School<br />
of Johannesburg and now at the<br />
Deutsche Internationale Schule<br />
Pretoria, which I joined in April<br />
<strong>2016</strong>.<br />
During my short stint at Deut sche Internationale Schule Pretoria,<br />
I‘ve ob served and learnt about a paradigm shift in the approach to<br />
education which is very interesting, dynamic and child centered to<br />
meet the current ever-chan ging demanding global needs. I consider<br />
myself blessed to be part of this vibrant school system which<br />
endeavours to produce the best citizenry in its quest for glory. With<br />
an amazing school support structure across the spectrum, I‘m very<br />
excited to be part of the Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria<br />
staff complement and hopefully will make a valuable contribution<br />
to the academic sphere.<br />
